From the first approved concept in March 2022 in Brussels, to multiple development phases in different places across Europe and the imagery campaign shot in London, our first twelve blazers styles have had a long journey to come to form.

COLOUR BLOCKING

Bold, vivid colours bring a spark electricity to the clean lines of the blazers. The process of devising and selecting the colour palette is essentially an organic one, letting the cut and style of each piece choose the complement of colour it needs to be. The next step from here is working on creating the correct hue for the fabric selected, from dyed fabric samples called lab dips. Our lab dipping process is often very long (too long, but needed) to ensure the colour is fully encapsulated on the desired fabric.

The vivacity of the BZ025.2 draws the eye to the collarless, soft-round shouldered cropped fit, making the black enamel and gold buttons pop.

THE FIT

Each pattern, sample and model fitting is a detailed process, where each nip and tuck transforms the look of the blazer once on the body- Lapels need to be sharp, cropped waists to be concise and shoulders defined.

MATERIALS

From design, colour selection and fit the material selection of each piece can be a long process to make sure the life of each piece is realised in the right look-and-feel fabric. BZ020 and BZ015.2 are constructed from a rich and creamy velvet that brings a soft sensual shape to the blazers while evoking an immediate opulent, regal feeling for the wearer, accentuated by the gold statement buttons.

MONOGRAMMED LINING

The YOMI monogram met with the ‘pied-de-poule’. It’s love. The pattern, made in woven jacquard is paired with the core fabrics of the first collection. A flash of colour-filled fun, the linings are not a secondary thought but rather as much a part of the blazer as the main outer fabric.
