Interplaying sensuality with structure, Yomi’s blazerwear is defined through sentimental “boutons-bijoux”, amplified shoulder lines and decadent oversized shapes and colours. Invoking a sublime and tragic magnetism to contained beauty and sophisticated provocation. YOMI is the irreverent and melancholic chic.
“It is hard to explain why... Probably because of her. I believe I have been searching for a way to tell this story. To witness this story. Not a story with a beginning and an end, or a specific place and time zone really. It is more about the taste of life. This turning point, when they stop watching, when the isolated journey begins, a certain sense of desolation essentially. “A profound sadness” as I once labelled it. What do you do with that? The regret. YOMI is all about a woman, this woman “I” could not be. YOMI is about this regret, this loss. I thought she would come and find me and somehow I am still waiting for her. In the meantime, I have decided to give her a space to live. Now that I know nobody is watching”.
