Blazer Care

Many of our blazers contain wool, which possess self-cleaning properties and is naturally stain resistant. However there are a few things you can do to maintain and keep them looking flawless.

Brush the fabric extremely gently with a clothes brush to get rid of dirt or dust or emptying the pockets of unnecessary, bulky items will help keep the perfect shape of your blazer.

If after a night out your blazer smells, don’t run to the professional dry cleaner. Instead, give your blazer a little radiator session, by simply hanging it close to a non- electric radiator (very system D but the heat helps to get rid of smells) or give it a balcony/garden sleepover, by just hanging it outside in a safe place protected from the rain (if you live in a lovely but shitty rainy city like us).

If you had a sweaty day (we have a lot of sweaty days) don’t hesitate to use a tiny bit of soap, a dash of warm water and give the armhole lining a quick rinse. Dabbing as you go, gently. Then let it dry naturally in a warm place.

For major stains or dirt, send to the professionals as directed on the care label attached to your garment. Just remember too much dry cleaning will damage your clothes. We recommend it maximum two to three times a year.

Due to the delicate and very soft wool and cashmere blend of some of the fabric qualities we use, it will be prone to pilling and fabric abrasion. This is the nature of natural fibres and especially soft long hair cashmere.

This is easily rectified and we recommend using a fabric shaver, designed to remove lint, fuzz and any loose threads from your garment without damaging it. Running it over the areas of abrasion will simply remove any pilling and will leave the fabric looking flawless again.

Never 'rub' the pilled area, always gently run a specifically designed electric fabric shaver smoothly across the fabric.

To avoid pilling in general it is always better to minimise all types of “repetitive rubbing”, like a heavy bag on a shoulder every day, your forearms against the edge of your desk, things like that…. Be gentle with your blazers, they are delicate.
