YOMI’s roots are in Brussels, Belgium, where I come from, and where the first ideas, words and designs were put together. Where its “gestational phase” took place I could say, alone at first, then with one designer for months, until we slowly moved to London with my Dimitri. We built the teams there, his and mine. We share an office in Shoreditch, it is warm, it is alive, we like it. We started working with Porto, Portugal, at first but quickly extended our research for mills, suppliers and manufacturers to the rest of Europe, essentially the north of Italy and Bucharest, Romania. We want to work with partners that are close to us, Our first blazer collection “Now that nobody is watching” will be responsibly produced in Bucharest, where we found an excellent tailoring supplier.
